Subject: Slide On The Ice !!

Yo Jan !

What a nice post.....I miss the 'Old Gang' too. Sometimes we get all caught up in living 'life' again, and working again...that speaking for myself we forget what really got us though this nightmare. What got me through the never ending nightmare.....was this group, and everyone's support. It was all I had, to hold onto....At that time, I really couldn't leave my house and what really saved me.....was this group, and reading how other's had gotten better, and that it takes a really long time.....and what I was experiencing was NORMAL......all of this gave me the strength, that I could get better too.

We all need to stop, and remember that we do get better, once we get that poison out of our systems, (Dr's just LOVE to prescribe poison !!...There really should be a skull and cross bones...on a bottle of Valium, or Ativan, and the like) and allow our bodies to heal. What got me REALLY though all of this was laughing, and taking the focus off of myself, getting out of myself, so to speak, and how all of us really used to 'cut-up'. LAUGHTER REALLY IS THE BEST MEDICINE !! (That's just ONE of my favorite sayings !) for all that ails you, and just smiling has been clinically proven to improve depression. I just know for me that it works. Laughing is far better than any pills that you can take. Instead of an RX for a prescription....Laugh ! Take a vacation from your problems !

So when all of you feel bad, and it is hard to focus, except on how bad that you feel, because you so depressed....go out and rent a funny movie. ...only a comedy will do. And if your too sick, or depressed to go out, I am REAL SURE if you asked someone to pick one out for you, they will be glad to. I do just love this line from the 'Psychiatrist' on my all time favorite TV show MASH.....He believed that laughter was the best medicine too, when he would say to Alan Alda, who played Hawkeye Pierce, ''Take my advice pull down your pants and slide on the ice''....Who wants to join me ?? Hope I can see a little smile now....on the faces in Benzoland.......Love, Light and Laughter....Blondie.
