I think that if you need an antibiotic, then it is always safer to go with one of the older ones. Antibiotics do kill off the good bacteria so a high quality probiotic is always in order. I caution everyone not to use quinolone antibiotics....they are extremely powerful and work on the central nervous system. These include cipro, avelox, etc. I personally prefer a natural antibiotic. A combination of collidal silver, kyloric garlic, buffered vitamin C with a goldenseal/echinacea tincture has worked well for me so far. Love, Yvonne |
