Most of them are caused by the excess adrenalin and stress hormones in the bloodstream. In withdrawal we can have up to 6 times the normal amount of these chemicals. Some people who feel up to it do a little more excercise to use the excess up but you must be careful not to overdo it or exercise too much too late in the day as it will effect sleep badly. Some also benefit if the trembling is bad from whats called the 'wet dog shake' its sounds comical but if you can picture a dog who's soaking wet then shakes himself dry he seems to start from one end of his body and go all the way along using all his muscles. Start at the top of your body and shake yourself down, shake your whole arms and wrists, torso, bottom and legs. Its sounds weird but it uses up adrenalin and instead of making the shakes worse it actually eases them off. Hope this helps. Love Carol. |
