Subject: Bach flowers

Hi everyone,

About the Bach Flower remedies:

Dr. Bach taught that the basis of disease was to be found in disharmony between

the spiritual and mental aspects of a human being. This disharmony, to be found

wherever conflicting moods produced unhappiness, mental torture, fear or

lassitude and resignation, lowered the body's vitality and allowed disease to

be present.

For this reason the remedies he prepared were for the treatment of the mood and

temperament of the patient, not for his physical illness. So that each patient

becoming more himself could increase his or her own vitality and draw from an

inward strenght and peace to restore health.

Observations indicate that negative attitudes and emotions over time are

communicated to the physical body by way of the nervous system, influencing

immunological respeonse, organ function and tissue vitality.

The remedies can be taken by persons of all ages without danger of an over dose

or side effects.

If the wrong choice should be made, no harm will ensue.

The rescue remedy is a combination of RockRose, Star of Bethlehem, Impatients,

Cherry Plum and Clematis.

Rock Rose - States of terror, alarm, hysteria + panic. Fear brought on by

accident, illness, nightmares etc.

Star of Bethlehem - Great distress brought about by trauma.

Impatients - Intolerance for the ability of others to keep up with our own pace

in getting things done.

Chery Plum - Fear of losing control over mind and body.

Clematis - For the ones that are living in the future instead of in the

present. They live in the future in hope of happier times

When adrenals are exhausted, they overeact, giving rise to sudden sensations of

anxiety, fear and nervousness:

Aspen - fear of the unknown, apprehension and anxiety

Mimulus - fear of the known

Red Chestnut - anxious and fearful for others safety

Elm - overwhelmed and inadequate

Rock Rose again is renowned for easing terror and panic

Mustard - for those in deep gloom

Taken together: Wild Rose, Larch, Mustard, Gorse and Gentian, help alleviate

feelings of apathy, resignation, despondency, inferiority, despair,

hopelesness, discouragement, self doubt and intense descending gloom.

For short term use or immediately stressful situations, 2 0r 3 drops of the

concentrate under the tongue.

And a good title for my book:

" My doctor gives me pills to put him out of my misery"

Too bad, it has already been used.
