Diskenesia is often seen by doctors as one of those unfortunate side-effects which THEY are prepared to risk, kind of like the 'better of two evils.' It is a well known fact by the medical fraternity that once a patient has developed diskenesia that even if the drug is withdrawn - the effects in 99 % of the cases are permanent! Perhaps something else which doctors conveniently 'forget' to mention to patients who they put onto Tegretol! (And a number of other similar related anti-psychotics, anti-convulsants and anti-epilepsy drugs!) This is a HUGE problem worldwide but again, a very well covered up 'medical' drug which should never have been released onto the market as it's benefits versus it's horrendous side-effects is criminal at best.
