My name is Carol, and if you've read the archives, you probably have heard some of my story. I was on Klonipin 10 mg/daily for 7 yrs., and quit "cold turkey". I have been completely off the Klonipin for 22 months. I had the symptoms your son is exhibiting, and I say with no hesitation that they likely are benzo related, and WILL subside. Just not as quickly as one might hope. It is a long process, the body healing itself. I have found that vitamin supplements (A, C, and E) help, and keeping the body elimination working properly (to rid the metabolites). I am all but completely better now, but I went through about 18 months of symptoms, always gradually decreasing in severity. (Although there were cycles in the beginning where I would get better, a little worse, then even better still). Keep faith in the Lord, that is who I attribute my greatest healing to. It's great that he does not feel the desire to go back to the Klonipin, I never did, either. Tell him not to get discouraged. I was 10 times as much for 7 times as long, and I have gotten better. He will, too! He will be in my prayers.
