Subject: Wishing all a happy 2000...

Hi Everyone:

Just wanted to check in with the group, and let you know I think of you all often. I am doing well. I QUIT SMOKING 41 hours ago...(not that I'm counting or anything). I can already tell the difference in the way I breathe. It was the last thing I needed to do to get my health in order.

I'm feeling GREAT. Had a wonderful Christmas. Got a beautiful platinum ring from Stan. Looks like a wedding band to me, but his twin boys are here, and we haven't discussed it. Hope you all had a wonderful holiday.

When I think of the struggle not to have a cigarette...I remember what I've been through, and what many of you are still going through, and that keeps me attuned to how minor of a struggle this really is, in comparison.

My benzo withdrawal is completely over. I am going to start my web page in January, so I'll keep you all informed. Remember, me having quit 10mg of Klonipin cold turkey and surviving and regaining full health, you will, too. It's not going to happen in the time frame we might choose, but you will get better.
