Good Morning, I wanted to write to all of you that are suffering so to let you know that you will get better. I was on this list two years ago many times a day pleading for relief from my pain. I know your pain and your despair. I know what it is like for no one to believe you and think you are crazy and neurotic. That still happens to me. With my new Dr.'s I never mention my ativan problem or that I am a widow. If I do they try to put me on antidepressants because I am a widow. Well, just because I have a headache or whatever does not mean I need a pill. I write on my information that I am allergic to benzo's and it has worked very well. I also say I am anti medication so treat the symptom don't mask it. Anyway, I have been off ativan for l year 5 months and finally my last symptoms have gone. The symptoms I was left with were head pressure, eye muscle spasms, puffy fluid sacs under my eyes. The pressure was so severe for months it did hinder my going into brightly lit places and driving. It was definitely brought on with lights, like TV, computer, driving, stores and heavy concentration. It would get so bad that I would get disoriented and confused. I came down with the flu about a month ago, horrible for a few days then it went into asthmatic bronchitis, pneumonia etc. My very smart Dr. felt it was triggered by a sinus infection so she ordered a cat scan. Sure enough I had a severe one so she kept me on antibiotics for three more weeks. This is the first time in almost two years that I have had relief for this lingering I'm writing to give you hope. Don't give up. My life is wonderful now, I am healthy physically and mentally. Functioning fully in my work and as a mother and new wife. Write to me anytime, I'm here to help all those that need me.
