Subject: Re: Stages in Withdrawal?

Hi ******,

I just wrote to someone about trying to figure out the cycles or setbacks we may experience while trying to regain our health. Sometimes it just makes no sense whatsoever. Sometimes we can pinpoint reasons such as an emotional or stressfull period causing an increase in symptoms. Sometimes exposure to another chemical or medication that acts negatively on our fragile system can set us back.

And sometimes my setbacks or cycles came for no apparent reason. I know it gets frustrating for some of us who have a need to know the why's and to look for ways to controll it. But benzo healing was very confusing for me. At times I thought I had recovered tremendously and had it licked only to go back down again. Those were times I needed to go back and remind myself that it was just part of the process with the help from my benzo friends of course. I can say that over time it became MUCH easier to handle for me. The better days just got better and the bad days weren't as bad.

I've seen quite a few people recover very well and go on to lead a much better life, myself included. Of course some people do have an easy time of it. I sure hope that is the case for you.

No worries,

Tom
